Whether or not you are a bodybuilder, a protein shake did no harm to anyone. Our bodies need protein for basic functions like repairing skin, hair, bones, heart, muscles, etc. In addition to that, a good dose of protein also keeps away untimely food cravings and helps you fight weighty issues.


Here is the list of some amazing, easy to make, effortless smoothies that contain at least 8 gm. of protein or more.

  • Peanut butter oats shake

Tired of racking your brains over a quick and healthy breakfast? Look no further. Peanut butter, soy milk
All the fixings of a healthy breakfast—peanut butter, banana, and oats—but with a creamy taste of a milkshake!!

Ingredients:

½ cup whole milk

2 tbsp peanut butter

1 banana

1/4th cup oats

To make the smoothie simply add all of the ingredients to a blender, blend for 30 seconds and stir. Blend for another 30 seconds to 60 seconds. Pour into a glass and garnish with dark chocolate bits if desired. Serve immediately or place in the refrigerator until ready to eat. Double or triple the recipe to have extra on hand for the week. 

  • Papaya Mint smoothie

Feeling bloated or low on energy? Try this smoothie.

Ingredients:

1 cup frozen papaya

½ cup yogurt or hung curd or yogurt

½ tsp finely chopped ginger

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp lemon juice

4-5 mint leaves

Blend everything together in a blender. Add in water, 1 tbsp at a time as needed to make the smoothie of desired consistency. Add in the leaves. Garnish with mint sprig and serve.

 

  • Chocolate Java Protein Shake

Unlike your latte or cappuccino, this shake is rich in protein, guilt free and healthy.

Ingredients:

1 cup milk

½ cup black coffee

1 scoop Protein & Herbs (chocolate flavoured)

1 tbsp dark chocolate chips

1 cup ice

Add in ingredients as listed, in a blender. Blend until you get a smooth texture. Pour in a tall glass and enjoy!

 

  • Honey Bunny Smoothie

Hit the gym? Now let the goodness hit you.

Ingredients:

½ cup hung curd/ yogurt

1 banana

250 ml chilled milk

1 scoop Protein & Herbs powder

2 tsp. of honey

Pinch of cinnamon/ nutmeg

Handful of ice

Blend the yogurt, banana, milk, protein powder, honey and cinnamon or nutmeg in a blender till it is foamy and smooth. Pour into the glasses and enjoy chilled.
