It’s summer again which means that mangoes are back in season. But if you get tired of eating mangoes as a fruit, here are a few recipes to try this summer.
Mango Milkshake/Smoothie
This traditional smoothie is the most delicious and simple to make. Just add in some mango chunks along with milk or yogurt and ice. Blend it until smooth. It is very delicious and can be had any time of the day.
Mango Tarts
These Tarts are so delicious to eat and are also really nutritious. They form the perfect breakfast to kickstart your day.
Ingredients
1 cup mix berries
1 scoop OZiva Protein & Herbs
1 cup oats
2 dates (deseeded)
½ Cup walnuts
Blend all these together and place them in tart liners or tartlet pans and set into the freezer for 30 mins.
For the puree you will need
3 cups mango chunks
2 teaspoon lime juice
1 teaspoon coconut oil
Mix seeds
Blend them together and pour them over the tartlets. Enjoy!
Mango Banana Cinnamon Crepes
This recipe is really delicious and irresistible.
Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 cup wheat flour
2 bananas
A pinch of cinnamon
1 tsp olive oil
To serve
Maple syrup/ honey
1 Cup mango chunks
Blend all the ingredients together to make a batter. Add in more milk if batter is thick. Pour a ladle of batter onto non stick pan and move it around till it spreads. Cook on low heat for about 30 seconds. Plate it and serve with mango chunks and maple syrup.
Mango Lime Sorbet
Sorbets are perfect for summer and also make a delicious dessert.
Ingredients
2 cup mango puree (just process mango chunks in a blender)
¼ Cup lime juice
¼ cup water
¼ cup brown sugar or honey
Add the lime juice water and sweetener in a saucepan and heat on medium till sugar is dissolved. Mix it with the puree and store it in the refrigerator for 4 hours.Pul it out and place it in an ice cream maker as per the manufacturer’s directions or place in in a shallow metal vessel and freeze it for 6 hours and then blend this frozen mixture to make the sorbet.
